Kurt is a veteran Art Director, Graphic Designer and Illustrator. A Skilled, experienced and versatile graphics professional with over 40 years experience in print, publishing, marketing, promotions, web design, production, audio/video, and training. He has produced projects ranging from brochures, logos, magazine designs, book illustrations to media kits and web sites. This broad range of skills and stylistic approach enables him to execute client’s projects from concept to finished production art.
Over a diverse career in the industry, he has accumulated skills in Art Direction, Illustration, Graphic Design, Digital Art, Electronic Publishing and Web Design. He has worked as freelance and as a staff artist, working both solo and with creative teams and workgroups. Kurt entered the field in 1980 B.C. – Before Computers. Having learned his craft in the murky prehistory prior to desktop publishing, he therefore possesses both traditional and digital studio skills.
Kurt has a BFA with honors in Graphic Design and Illustration from Pratt Institute. Raised in Brooklyn, NY, he moved with his family to Rockland Country in 2001. After the 9/11 attacks, He left corporate service – with about 30% of the NYC regions Design pros. Kurt established Fantastic Realities Studio as a versatile source for seasoned and professional design solutions specializing on the need of small businesses.
In 2014, we moved into new quarters in Berkeley Springs, in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. Still serving his clients in the NYC tristate region, he’s reached out to small business clients in his new region. Of course in with contemporary tech, he can work anywhere with a roof, electricity and a high-speed internet connection. One of the joys of the digital age..
