Four Winds News: 15 January 2005

Not a lot of news other than were are coming back from Hiatus with an Open Bardic Circle on January 20. Please see the Schedule Page. We've offerd ourselves to the Pagan Pride Project for a potential Tsumani Benefit. Stay tuned. And we're going to start planning the 2005 season.

Kurt also sends his personal thanks to Chorus Members Elsbeth, Erica, Paula, and Sue for offering their voices at mother's Memorial Service on December 5th. And to Sue for helping out at home as well. Kohi people Todd and Shelly Wallace also brought the Kohi pow-wow drum to the house from Maryland. Many honoring songs were sung. Washite Aloh!

Four Winds maintains a set of E-Lists to send out information about our activities. Not on a list? Email Us.

INVITATION TO SINGERS, DRUMMERS & MUSICIANS
We also want to let everyone out there know that there is a standing invitation to any interested person who has a joy for singing and for spirit to consider singing with the Chorus. We are, always interested in bring new people into our circle of song. Anybody with a good heart and willing to work and study is welcome. In the meantime we encourage you to keep singing, share songs and chants and wherever possible, encourage others.

Four Winds News: 17 November 2004

Here's what's happening. First off, the chorus will likely be less active for the next few months, be on hiatus until futher notice as Choral Director Kurt Griffith/Talking Stone has his hands very full with his ailing mother, currently in hospice care at home. He very much apppreciates all the expressions of prayer and support, and for some of you, you're on the list.

We had planned to make every effort to keep singing and keep things moving, but the resources are just do not seem to be there at the moment..

On September 25, 2004, we had a very good day at Pagan Pride Day 2004 with a speed drum and chant workshop and providing Ritual Support, .

We had such a good time at our last workshop that we were planing another, this time concentrating on our Native American Material- The Bardic Path: Drum & Chant-Songs of Turtle Island, we had hoped for later in the Fall, but very much postponed by the Director's family situation. But we have not forgotten about this.

We will also be sending out a notice of when we resume our activities.

Till we meet again, keep Singing!

Mitakuye Oyasin * Blessed Be * Ashe * Shalom * A Salaam * Amen * Om

Kurt Griffith/Talking Stone
Choral Director
