Autumn Water – Silkscreen & Digital Composite
THIS IS A TEST PRODUCT TO TEST THE WOO COMMERCE STORE PROCESSING PROCESS.
A digital Image of very successful printmaking project from my time at Pratt Institute. This is a 13-color hand pulled silkscreen Illustration done after the Shin-hanga Ukiyo-e style of the early 2th century, inspired by Ito Shensui. Due to the multicolor process, I began with 100 sheets and ended up with a final edition of only 13 prints. That paper wasn’t cheap for a student!
The reference print I had was destroyed in the 2000 house fire, and I thought all copies lost. However my aunt Ramona, who I had given one, gifted me back her framed copy for my portfolio. In 2019, I undertook a digital enhancement, adding the title and haiku in digital kanji, my signature, with the traditional seal given me by Richard Man.
