Four Winds News : Update 12/18/2000
Greetings All,
Musical Theatere Works has agreed to honor our reeservation for The Bardic Yule 2000 on December 29th. The space is paid for and locked in. We are deeply appreciative to MTW Bookings manager David Wolfe who will be opening the place up for us. He received a Four Winds CD with our compliments! We are also going to be moved over to their Black Box theatre to avoid interfeering with painting and other maintainence scheduled for the holiday break. Thank you! This sort of goodwill is unavailable at any price and we are deeply greatful.
Check out the Schedule for January February 2001 Rehearsal and Events dates .
Would like to wish each and every one of you a truly joyful and heathy holiday season. Joyus Solstice. Happy Hanukah. Blesssed Yule. Merry Christmas. Happy Kwanzaa and an amazing shiny New Year.

Four Winds News
Greetings All and a most Helathy and Happy Thanksgiving.
Big thank you to Chorus Members who dropped in to help out at our table at the Pagan Spirituality Expo on Nov 12th. We networked, chatted, made friends and sang a little. A good time and worth spending the day. Was also quite nice to get caught up with our many friends from the New York Pagan Community.
Would like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Thanksgiving and the blessings of the bounty of the Earth. For all Her many gifts and the goodnees of our lives, many we be all truly thankful.
Also Thanks All for remembering my Birthday. (November 18, another evil Scorpio...) According to many Native Traditions, as I am in my forties, I am now offically an adult. Uh... 42 for all you trivia junkies.

Four Winds has always had a special place in our hearts for the winter holidays. This year, after the hustle and noise of the shopping and celebration settles, join us for a special evening of song and chant, celebrating all the Winter Holidays; Solstice, Yule, Chanukah, Kwanza, New Year's. In Bardic Circle we will open our hearts and our hearth to welcome all with a song in their hearts.
Since we're not going to be doing a show at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in early December, we'll be expanding this event with some of the material we were preparing. Should be spiffy!
All are welcome in our circle of song. Please bring your voices, songs and chants of the season and simple (non-messy) food and drink to share. Best Blessings of the season!
We are preparing for Yule on December 29th, 2000. It will be a mix of set ritual pieces and Bardic Circle. The Bard's Circle will be hit with the hard pieces. The format is somewhat informal on purpose. This is an event that is not intended to require too much logistics. And give returning and new Members an easy entry or re-entry.
The rest of the time will be devoted to the Bardic. Modified Chaos format - people with material to offer the Cirlce queue up. Whatever people bring or request or... Whatever you folks care to prepare:
We discovred this past week that Musical Theatere Works is planning to be closed over the Winter Holiday break, as is CAP 21. The Booking Manager called Director Kurt Talking Stone very apologetic as soon as he was informed. As we have already begun mailings for The Bardic Yule 2000, this could be a bit of a problem. Changing either the location or date is at best problematical. We will be working with him very closely to try and maintain use of the venue for the booked date. However, exploring alternatives in best just in case spirit makes awesome sense. We would prefer to keep the date, but information about available alternate sites in the vicinity of MTW would be sincerly appreciated. Please forward any and all leads and suggestions to us at khgriffith@worldnet.att.net.

Free / Donatons Gratefully AcceptedFour Winds has created three previous giveaway concerts to promote our Mission and the Music. We have used the Giveaway Concert series to also showcare the range of talent and possiblities that our Members and friends bring the world of Music of The Spirit. We think we want to toss up another one!
We're cooking up some fun stuff to honor Mother Earth and Her traditions. It's gonna be FAB!
Any of our Members, past or current, Friends or Allies who are interested in a performance spot or idea, or participating in any way, please contact us.
We're starting up the planning stages of putting together what will be our fourth Giveaway concert. We have had huge fun putting these up and they often bring out our Members' best efforts. The last one we did was the very well received Giveaway III, Solstice Night at WYRD, a live on-stage "pagan radio show" for the winter holidays back in 1998.
Based on the great fun and good work Members have pulled together for Stones Rising, Grove Samhain and The Witches Ball, and some stuff we've been cookng in the "lab", we think we can put up another nice one! We're really looking forward to puting this one together! We've been doing sme things we'd like people to see. Ad number of Members have been working on indiviual projects that deserve to see the light of day,
Stay tuned, but we definitely plan to make some noise and have some FUN!

For folks who have been asking what they can do. One of the overwhelming losses has been our extensive library, Books, Music and videos... One of Four Winds' special assets was our collection of folk, pagan, world and indigenous music and source material. So anybody with Books and Music to donate, particularly Pagan, Native American, and Science Fiction and Fantasy, they would be very welcome.
Our Continuing Thanks to everyone who has been offering their prayers, energy, support and helping out.
