Seeking: Indoor rehearsal spaces and performance venues. We rehearse approx 2hrs, 4-5 weekday evenings per month and occasional days on weekends. Space for 8-20 persons, we average 12 people most meetings. Location preferably in midtown-lower Manhattan, soundproof enough for many voices with moderate, occasionaly intense, drumming. Electricity outlet/s avalable (Not for amplified sound equipment!). Reasonably accessible to public transportation. We are interested in spaces suitable for rehearsing, workshops, teaching & Bardic circles, ritual and ceremony, recording and for performances. All of these activities need suitible venues. As a volunteer, not-for-profit musical cooperative, we have very little revenue beyond Member tithes and donations, we require a very economical spaces for our activities. OUR CURRENT SITUATION:
We currently have a fairly stable arrangement in place, but we hope to do better. (in other words... Cheaper!) We alternate rehearsals between Cooperative Arts Project's CAP 21 Studios, very nices facility and people, and the Home of Miz Elspeth. We're using Musical Theatre Works for the Recording Project. Still, we're ALWAYS interested in useful spaces for rehearsals, ritual and ceremony, workshops and performances.
